Psychology
Psychology was added to the A level curriculum at Caterham School in 2004 and has already proved to be one of the most popular subjects. The Psychology Department follows the AQA (A) syllabus which explores topics such as human memory, attachment, stress, abnormality, social influence, the psychology of relationships, aggression, schizophrenia, addiction and research methods.
Darron Kokott BA Head of Psychology
Darron graduated from Stellenbosch University having majored in Psychology, English and Sociology. He was appointed Head of Psychology in April 2011 having previously been a member of the Psychology Department at King's College School (Wimbledon). Prior to moving to London, Darron taught in Northamptonshire having previously taught in Cape Town.
Lorne Barnard BSc (Hons) Teacher of Psychology, Assistant Head of First Year
Lorne graduated from Loughborough University having obtained a Honours degree in Psychology with Ergonomics. Lorne originally worked at Caterham School for two years in the Games' department, as well as being a Senior Boarding House Tutor. In September 2011, Lorne will be Assistant Head of the First Year.
