Our U15 Lacrosse Team are South of England Schools Champions
The team competed against the most successful lacrosse schools from Hampshire, Middlesex, Surrey and Kent to win the South of England U15 schools tournament on 18 January. Caterham were drawn in a very tough section but played extremely well and won four out of five matches to finish as runners up, thereby going through to the semi finals. Their only defeat being to Lady Eleanor Holles School. In the semi final we played the winners of the other section, Guildford High School, which we won 2-1. We played St Catherine’s in the final. The score was 2–2 at the end of extra time. Our top scorer, Cesci Adams, scored the goal in the sudden death playoff to win the tournament.
Another pupil is selected for the Harlequins School of Rugby
Second Year pupil, Mayo Daniel, is the latest Caterham School pupil to earn selection into the prestigious Harlequins School of Rugby. Mayo performed superbly for the Caterham U13A team last term, scoring tries against all of the schools he played against. At his trial for Harlequins, his pace, agility, tackling and offloading skills impressed the Quins' coaches to secure his place in the academy.
