Pupil Offered a Professional Contract by Millwall FC

Pupil Offered a Professional Contract by Millwall FCCallum Thompson, has been offered a professional contract by Millwall Football Club. Callum was spotted by Millwall seven years ago playing for Selsdon at U9 level and has been part of their academy set-up ever since..

During his time at Caterham, Callum has trained twice a week at the club's Bromley based headquarters with matches at the weekend. He has combined this with representing the School in rugby, hockey and cricket. While many young aspiring footballers decide to put the game before their studies, Callum is intent on achieving excellent GCSE results in the summer.

Director of Sport, Rob Clarke, is delighted with the news. 'Callum is obviously a tremendously gifted footballer. It has been impressive how he has juggled his School commitments with his obvious desire to do everything possible to achieve this contract. I know this is a dream come true for him and I am so pleased – he deserves it. He is as naturally a gifted sportsman as you are ever likely to see and has performed superbly in rugby, hockey and cricket at the school. We wish him every success in his football career.'
