A Warm Welcome!
Welcome to the Caterham School Parents’ Association! As a parent of Caterham School and Caterham Prep School you are automatically a member of this vibrant, sociable and supportive association. We hope that you will find all that we do fun and helpful – and that you will want to join in – in whatever way you can.
Our Parents’ Assocation exists to foster a feeling of ‘community’ amongst parents throughout the School by arranging social events whilst at the same time raising funds for the benefit of the Pre-Prep, Prep, and Senior Schools.
In addition, the Parents’ Association looks after many other aspects of school life, such as the Nearly New Uniform and Lost Property. The School has a very strong parent community and each form in the school has a volunteer Form Rep who is there to pass on PA news, arrange socials, and help parents.
All parents of Caterham School children are automatically members of the Parents’ Association and everyone is very welcome to join the main committee. Meetings are held twice a term, where events and funding projects are discussed. Every two years the PA supports a different charity. If profit is raised on events, a percentage is given to our chosen charity and the rest is invested into the School to provide extra equipment or activities for the pupils, over and above that which the school would be expected to provide.
In the last few years, the CSPA has paid for many different items requested by parents and staff, and has aided many new clubs to be developed for our students to enjoy.
Being involved in the PA or coming along to our events is a fabulous way of meeting new friends for life, just as our children do whilst they are at Caterham School!
