Come and Sing – 5 weekly Sessions, Concluding in a Concert
Tuesday evenings starting Tuesday 7 May 2019, 6.30pm-8.00pm, – Final session on Tuesday 18 June 2019, with a concert at 7.00pm 

Location: Centre for Performing Arts, Caterham School (Concert on Tuesday 18 June at Caterham United Reformed Church)


Supporting DMKS, a blood cancer charity and the Royal Marsden Hospital and in collaboration with Barisons Singers (Epsom)

Caterham School Music Department (together with the Caterham School Society) presents Come & Sing- ‘SummerJazz’

Offering five lively and enjoyable rehearsals and culminating in a relaxed concert atmosphere. Come and enjoy a glass of wine, sing fantastic songs and meet others from the extended Caterham School community.

Open to anyone with an interest in singing – whether you are experienced or new to singing, all are welcome to join: parents (current and former), Old Caterhamians, pupils and member of the local community.
Coming together to sing is highly rewarding and enjoyable for all. 

Explore the music of the jazz ‘greats’ such as Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong and Bobby Darin. Songs to include It Don’t Mean A Thing, Mack The Knife, New York New York, Goodnight Sweetheart, Blue Skies and more…

Rehearsals will be run by Adam Assen (Director of Music) and Tristan Hall (Head of Academic Music). We will be supported by Barisons Singers, a fantastic choir from Epsom.

Rehearsals, will be on a Tuesday evenings (starting 7 May 2019) from 6.30pm to 8.00pm and will take place at Caterham School, Centre for Performing Arts

Parking available on site.
Rehearsal dates will be: 7, 14, 21 May and 4, 11 June.
Concert on 18 June at 7.00pm will be held at Caterham United Reformed Church, 1 Harestone Hill, Caterham CR3 6SX)

How to register

There is no fee but all money raised from concert ticket sales will be donated to DMKS and the Royal Marsden Hospital.

Participants are required to commit to the five rehearsals and the concert will take place on 18 June in Caterham United Reformed Church.
