Summer School – Day Pupils
DAY PUPIL EXPERIENCE
For international students with family living nearby, or for parents staying in London during the summer, the Caterham School’s summer programme offers a flexible non-residential option. This enables students to take part in the summer programme while making their own accommodation arrangements.
Non-residential students join every part of the timetable Monday – Friday – from morning lessons to afternoon and early evening activities – running daily from 08:30 to 17:30. They may also take part in our organised Wednesday excursion, giving them the chance to explore London and the surrounding area in a safe, structured environment.
This option provides families with the freedom to shape their child’s summer experience according to their needs. It is particularly beneficial for those wishing to remain together in London, balancing valuable family time with the student’s academic, social and cultural development. Families can enjoy the vibrancy of the city, confident that their child is benefiting from a high-quality programme throughout the day.
A parent or family member must be responsible for dropping students off each morning and collecting them at the designated time in the evening. This ensures a smooth transition between home and school and maintains the supportive link between family life and the summer school experience.
