Students will build a strong foundation in financial literacy, exploring how to make informed decisions about saving, borrowing and investing. They will learn how financial markets work and investigate the relationship between risk and return. They will also explore how businesses are financed, how investment decisions are made and how new companies attract funding.
The programme then looks to the future of finance. Students will discover how venture capital, artificial intelligence, FinTech and emerging industries are creating new opportunities and changing the financial landscape. They will consider not only the potential of these developments, but also the risks and ethical questions they raise.
Working in teams, students will apply their learning to a Finance Futures Challenge. They might assess an investment opportunity, develop a new financial product or investigate what finance could look like in 2040. Supported by their mentors, students will research their chosen topic, analyse evidence and develop a clear recommendation or proposal. Our programme culminates in a Finance Futures Showcase, where students present and defend their ideas.
