Scratch Coding Success

Last week, Sophie (Second Year) had her game ‘Out of the Blue’ appear in the ‘Featured Projects’ section of the Scratch website. Scratch, one of the most widely used platforms for teaching young people block-based coding, was created by the MIT Media Lab and has been translated into over 70 languages. To be featured on the site’s homepage your game needs to be recommended and endorsed by other users, so this is an absolutely fantastic achievement. At the start of the year Sophie was a runner-up in the Summer of Code competition, for which she entered ‘Out of the Blue.’

Congratulations Sophie!
