Campaigning for Human Rights
Following a week of assemblies informing the school community of the importance of campaigning for human rights at this time, the Amnesty group hosted Laura Bierer-Nielsen of the Foundation for Uyghur Freedom this week. Her presentation and the following questions explored the scope and effectiveness of activism in the UK and the actions of the UK Government. The group is planning to pilot meetings for First to Fourth Year pupils after the return to physical school.
