Sixth Form Vertical Buddy Scheme
We are thrilled to have introduced our new Buddy Scheme this year in the Sixth Form. It is a peer-to-peer support scheme to help new pupils settle in quickly. New pupils in the Lower Sixth Form are matched with current Upper Sixth pupils who provide an invaluable support in the first term. The aim is to ease the transition for our new Lower Sixth, help them gain confidence and forge a strong sense of community. They can fully benefit from our Upper Sixth Form pupils’ experience. As for our Upper Sixth, they get a chance to share their experience and enthusiasm whilst developing their leadership skills and enhancing their interpersonal abilities. For our first “formal” session this week, it is fair to say that the room was literally buzzing with great engagement from both year groups.
