Celebrating L’Epiphanie

Celebrating L’Epiphanie

This week in our French Junior Club, “Les Petits Filous”, First and Second Years celebrated “l’Epiphanie” or Kings day.

They enjoyed decorating their own crowns while listening to French music and practising the colours in French. We were delighted that Emma T. joined us virtually and emailed us a photo of the lovely crown that she did at home. First and Second Years learnt about the Kings cake or “le gâteau des rois” in France and the traditions around this French festival. It was then about time to taste the famous “gâteau” to everyone’s delight!

Les gourmands rendez-vous for “la chandeleur” in February for pancakes this time!
