Annual Film Awards
On Monday of Wilberforce Week, the Third Years, in all their finery, walked the red carpet and took to Humphreys for their annual Film Awards. This year the Drama pupils were joined by Third Year musicians in the creation of their films and original scores, and the awards ceremony was a fitting celebration at the culmination of the project. Creating either Silent Comedy, Horror or Music Videos, the students did a brilliant job at utilising the conventions of their chosen genre and the audience watching on Monday thoroughly enjoyed them all.
This year the judges, Mr Waite and Dr Brammeld, applauded the creativity and ambition of the different films. From epic chase scenes with sharks, to desperate love stories and horrifying apparitions, this year’s films had it all, accompanied by fantastic themes from the Third Year musicians.
