Immersed in the World of Fifteenth Century Florence

On Friday 6 March (Michelangelo’s birthday), Caterham hosted its first all-day Academic Enrichment Symposium. The event, entitled Genius, was themed on the Renaissance and saw our Fourth Year Scholars, along with their counterparts from visiting schools, spend the day immersing themselves in the world of Fifteenth Century Florence.

Talks were given on ‘The Renaissance – What, why, and what again?’, ‘Dante’s Inferno’, ‘Masters of their Art’, and ‘Galileo’. A huge thank you to Mrs Fenton for giving the first talk of the day which set the scene so well for our ensuing talks.

We look forward to hosting a similar event next year.
