Show Your Stripes for Giving Day
On 24 and 25 March, the Caterham community will come together once again to celebrate our third Giving Day – a special moment in the school calendar dedicated to fun, community spirit, and supporting meaningful causes.
Giving Day is all about bringing pupils, staff, parents and alumni together to make a real difference. This year promises to be bigger and brighter than ever, with exciting activities and opportunities for everyone to get involved.
On Tuesday 24 March, Senior School pupils are invited to ‘show their stripes’ by wearing striped clothing or coming dressed in ‘bee-themed fancy dress’. School sports kit with stripes is also welcome. Dress up is entirely optional, but for those embracing the bee theme will have the chance to enter a ‘Best Outfit Competition’, with a ‘trophy’ up for grabs for the most creative costume!
One of Giving Day’s most popular events is also back: the ‘House Bounce Off’. In this high-energy contest, Houses will go head-to-head in a battle for glory, bragging rights, and the coveted trophy. And the winning House will face off against the Headmaster’s ‘All-Star Staff Team’. Expect plenty of cheering, competitive spirit and unforgettable moments.
Funds raised during Giving Day will support two projects that make a lasting impact.
- Lerang’wa Primary School, Tanzania
2026 marks 20 years of partnership between Caterham School and Lerang’wa Primary School. This year’s fundraising will help provide a new girls’ toilet block, improving facilities and supporting the wellbeing of pupils. An exhibition celebrating this long-standing partnership will be displayed in the Concourse during Giving Day.
- Transformational Bursaries Fund
Giving Day will also support Caterham’s Transformational Bursaries Fund, which provides life-changing school places for talented young people who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend Caterham.
Parents will receive further updates with details about Giving Day activities and how you can support the fundraising efforts. If you have any questions about Giving Day, the charities involved, or the school’s wider development work, please feel free to contact the Development team at [email protected] or read our Donor Impact Report
Together, we look forward to making this year’s Giving Day a joyful celebration of community – and a chance to create real, lasting impact.
