First Lego League Competition
A team of our talented First Year pupils recently represented the school at the regional First Lego League competition. Aaron, Daniel, Kian, Fin and Lewis earned their place at the event after winning the school’s internal competition in December.
Since then, the team has spent the term working hard to refine every aspect of their entry. As part of the challenge, they designed, built and programmed a robot capable of completing a series of tasks on a game board within a strict time limit. Alongside the robot game, the pupils also developed and presented an innovative idea addressing a real-world challenge faced by archaeologists today. They additionally shared the story of how their robot evolved throughout the project, explaining the design decisions and improvements they made along the way.
The team represented both themselves and the school exceptionally well, demonstrating creativity, teamwork and determination throughout the competition. Although they narrowly missed out on progressing to the national finals, their hard work and commitment over the past few months have been truly impressive.
We are incredibly proud of Aaron, Daniel, Kian, Fin and Lewis for their efforts and for the enthusiasm they brought to the challenge. Well done to the whole team!
