Learning beyond the Classroom

Caterham recently hosted a high-energy Saturday Plus session, our flagship program for local Year 5 pupils aimed at raising aspirations for selective secondary entry. The morning centered on practice tests in English and Maths.

The pupils then moved to the Wildcats Adventure Zone for team-building and high ropes, activities designed to foster the resilience and “grit” that saw a significant increase in recent impact data.

While pupils were active outdoors, parents attended a seminar on selective school applications and bursaries, including specific guidance on supporting children through the process ​leap of faith. The day ended with a community barbecue, bringing families together.
