Wilberforce Week 2026
Some weeks capture the spirit of a school more than others, and Wilberforce Week is exactly that for Caterham. This year’s edition once again brought together community, discovery, competition and celebration in a single, unforgettable seven days.
The week opened its doors to others, quite literally. Community Day welcomed local primary schools onto site, while pupils from HKBUAS joined us to share in the spirit of the week. Our First Year showcased their curiosity and creativity at the annual EDGE Museum, a wonderful reminder of how much young imagination can produce when given the room to flourish.
Alongside the celebration of community, there was a real sense of looking forward. Futures Day gave our Fourth Year and Lower Sixth invaluable guidance on the paths ahead, while trips to Rochester and Brooklands took pupils out into history and STEM respectively, learning beyond the classroom walls.
Then came the friendly rivalry that Wilberforce Week is famous for. The Marquee rang out with House Song on Wednesday, before House Athletics took over Home Field and Beeches on Thursday, points and bragging rights on the line. Competitive spirit ran high, but as ever, it was the camaraderie and cheering for one another that stood out most.
And, of course, there was plenty to celebrate. Lower Sixth pupils headed off for a day at Thorpe Park, our Third Year donned their finest for a red-carpet Film & Oscars night, and MADLive returned once more, treating the audience to an outstanding display of talent across the school.
A week of community, discovery, competition and celebration — and a brilliant way to round off the year.
