How you can help

Supporters

To deliver our bursary scheme, Caterham School is reliant on a community of former pupils, staff, friends and parents to make regular gifts to the School.

Regular giving helps the School to deliver its plans with confidence. All donations, no matter what size, will take us closer to our goal.

1811 Circle

Caterham School is seeking members to join its 1811 Circle.

Marking the year of Caterham School’s founding, joining the 1811 Circle is a unique opportunity to join fellow supporters who are interested in widening access to the School. Your annual donation of £1,811 will be pivotal in supporting Caterham School to deliver its ambitious Transformational Bursary programme. For every eight people who join the 1811 Circle we will be able to provide one annual bursary (with Gift Aid).

In recognition of your support, you will be invited to an annual 1811 Circle reception and other events. You will also be acknowledged in the Caterhamian annual review and Omnia publications as a member of the 1811 Circle.

Plan to leave a legacy and join the John Townsend Society

A gift in your will is a remarkable way of supporting the School and will be significant in helping Caterham to transform its bursary scheme.

Our legacy society is named after the School’s founder, Rev. John Townsend, who was a leader in philanthropy and education. Should you choose to let us know of your intention to leave a gift in your will, we would be delighted to invite you to join the John Townsend Society. Members of the society are invited to special events, and if they wish are acknowledged on a plaque at the entrance to the School.

Benefactors

Caterham School is providing an opportunity to become a Benefactor to the School by contributing £5,000 annually to the Transformational Bursary fund.

Caterham School Benefactors will play a major role in delivering our plans for bursaries. For every three Benefactors we are able to provide one annual bursary to a child (with Gift Aid).

To recognise your support, we would be delighted to add your name to the School’s Patrons and Benefactors plaque which is located at the main entrance. You will also be invited to special Benefactor events where you will have an opportunity to hear about the progress of the School’s Transformational Bursary programme.

Patrons: create a Patronage

We are delighted to offer the unique opportunity to support a child throughout their school career and beyond. By creating a patronage you will make a transformational impact upon the life of a young person.

To recognise your support, we would be delighted to add your name to the School’s Patrons and Benefactors plaque which is located at the main entrance. You will also be invited to special Benefactor events where you will have an opportunity to hear about the progress of the School’s Transformational Bursary programme.
