Supporting Young People Through the Exam Season – Wellbeing Webinar for Parents

Supporting Young People Through the Exam Season – Wellbeing Webinar for Parents

The next Wellbeing Parental Webinar will take place on Monday 9 May at 7.00pm on the topic of ‘Supporting Young People Through the Exam Season’.

Our speaker will be Jenny Langley, a schools and families trainer for the Charlie Waller Trust, who will deliver a session on supporting young people through the stresses and strains of exam season. She will explore the continuum between normal everyday anxiety and low mood, and overwhelming anxiety and depression. Jenny will weave in the latest research on the development of the teenage brain and how we can maintain open lines of communication and support and motivate our teenagers to regulate their own sleep, eating, exercise and leisure patterns.

After her son recovered from an eating disorder, Jenny has worked with several mental health charities and written two books around eating disorders. Jenny spends much of her time supporting families affected by eating disorders and related issues through workshops and groups. Caterham has an established relationship with The Charlie Waller Trust over many years and we are delighted to welcome Jenny back to host this parental webinar.

There will be a Q&A session after the initial presentation where Jenny will be happy to answer any questions you may have, as will John Weiner (Assistant Head, Pastoral and Wellbeing), Sarah Griffiths (Deputy Head, Pastoral and Wellbeing) and Rebecca Smith (Head of Curriculum Wellbeing). If you would like to attend, please register by completing the Microsoft Forms sign-up sheet accessed by clicking here. The joining details will be emailed to you in advance of the event.
