The Orchard Theatre Festival

Our Junior Festival (First to Third Year) is taking place on Thursday 24 June at 6.30pm. The First and Second Year pupils will be performing monologues that they have written from the perspective of an inanimate object. Expect to hear thoughts on life from a trophy, cowboy hat, fluffy blanket and friends, followed by an extract from The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time performed by some of our fantastic Third Years. Our Senior Festival (Fourth Year to Upper Sixth Form) is taking place on Friday 25 June at 6.30pm. The Fourth Year pupils will be kicking the evening off with an extract from ‘Remote’ by Stef Smith, a play about protest, power and protecting yourself. The Lower Sixth Rep group will then perform their entirely original devised piece ‘97%’ which was created in response to the Sarah Everard murder. Finally, one of our Upper Sixth Form pupils will be showcasing a rehearsed reading of their play ‘Live your Best Life Support Group’ which was highly commended by the judges of the New Views writing programme at the National Theatre. Please note that due to the mature nature and content of this evening’s performances, viewing is only recommended for those aged 14+. Please join us via the following link:
