14km Sponsered Walk over London Bridges
A bijou group of boarders were poised and ready to start the 14km sponsored walk from Battersea Bridge last weekend, criss-crossing the Thames over a dozen bridges in support of the altevetteproject.org. Overcast weather ensured optimal conditions; walking for the majority and running for the stalwarts – big shout out not only to Lynus L and Wayne L but our very own Dr Langdon who accompanied.
The route passes many of the capital’s icons, offering a splendid opportunity for our international students to absorb the rich variety on their doorstep.
After a pit stop for lunch with the pigeons, we traversed the more popular touristic areas, rejoicing once Tower Bridge hove into view!
The adventures concluded with a celebratory ice cream, a trudge to the station, a kip on the train and a very slow amble back to school and many memories created!
Please check out the astounding work already achieved by the altevetteproject.org.
