A Celebration of Creativity

Caterham School kickstarted the year with a creative bang at Artslive 2026 last Thursday evening.  

This wonderful celebration of creativity began with the whole site transforming into a gallery. There were immersive performances where students read their poetry, spoke commentary about their artworks and performed plays.

After our guests toured the artwork and performances, the evening culminated in an exciting fashion show in the Wilberforce Hall showcasing the A Level Fashion and Textiles pieces from 2026 leavers.

‘Cat Among the Pigeons’ magazine 2026 was then launched officially, with the new edition being celebrated and circulated. The amazing 2026 editorial team gave their outgoing speeches and the new editorial team for 2027 was welcomed and announced.

‘Cat Among the Pigeons’ is a pupil created glossy magazine of creative writing and articles written solely by our pupils. The articles and poetry are paired with GCSE and A level Visual Artworks.

This year the theme was Duality, and the magazine was innovatively designed and edited by Lyla Beukes and Honor Akele to have a flip dual format.
