CLIO History Prizes

CLIO History Prizes

Every half-term, the History Department is delighted to award the CLIO History Prize to pupils who show particular promise, aptitude, endeavour, and enthusiasm for the subject and are thus considered deserving of recognition. The prize is split to recognise the talents of senior, middle, and junior school historians, with all receiving a certificate, chocolate, and, most importantly, a book of their choosing. Congratulations to our winners this half-term:

Senior Prize: Hazel L and Theo B, who chose Ottomans: Khans, Caesars and Caliphs by Marc Baer and Max Hastings’ Abyss: The Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 respectively.

Middle Prize: Anders L, who opted for Fatherland by Robert Harris.

Junior Prize: Abigail G and Namratha D, who chose The Time Traveller’s Guide to Restoration England by Ian Mortimer, and Fatherland by Robert Harris respectively.

Our winners are pictured here with Mr. Hosking, Head of History (Hazel Leung in absentia)
