Cultural Foods Week
Following feedback from our Voice4Change pupils, we partnered with Chartwells to organise a vibrant Cultural Foods Week at school — a fantastic opportunity for pupils to explore and celebrate global cuisine.
Throughout the week, pupils were treated to a wide variety of delicious dishes, sparking curiosity and conversation about different cultures and traditions.
On Monday, we kicked things off with Vietnamese beef, Thai fish cakes, and a refreshing exotic fruit salad featuring lychees and mango. As the week continued, the menu included flavourful Indian Goan pork Balchao, hearty red lentil dhal, and tasty Turkish chicken shawarma. One of the highlights was the ever-popular jollof rice, which proved to be a big hit with everyone!
The Refectory was transformed each day with beautiful cultural decorations, creating an immersive and festive atmosphere that inspired great discussions among pupils.
A huge thank you to our incredible catering team at Chartwells for their creativity, enthusiasm, and hard work in planning this week!
