Enrichment Day
Let the Fun Begin!
The first Friday of term saw the school buzzing as pupils embraced our annual Enrichment Day — a perfect way to kick off the year. The morning was packed with a wide range of engaging activities: from EDGE critical thinking and team-building challenges to future-planning sessions, orienteering, and even fire-building skills.
In the afternoon, pupils took part in our newly introduced House Afternoon — a chance to build a sense of identity and belonging within their Houses. Through a variety of creative and collaborative activities, students worked together to explore what their House represents, laying the foundation for a strong community spirit for the year ahead.
The atmosphere throughout the day was full of energy and enthusiasm. Smiles, laughter, and a real sense of togetherness made it a fantastic way to start the term — with new friendships formed and school spirit running high. A big well done to everyone for making it such a positive and memorable day!
A Sunny Challenge Walk for Second Year
On Friday for Enrichment Day the Second Year went on a Challenge Walk in the beautiful sunshine. Thank goodness the rain from the previous day left us alone! Just over one hundred pupils completed the hike on a circular route from Woldingham back to school. The path took us through woodland and meadows to join the North Downs Way. Stingy nettles and fallen trees did not stop us, and we all enjoyed a well-deserved rest in the sunshine at Viewpoint, before heading back to school for some well-deserved burgers and chips.
Team Bonding throughout the woods!
The Third Year had an enriching morning of team building activities in the school woods on Friday. It gave them quality time with their peers and tutors to all get to know each other better and get stuck into a scavenger hunt, some den building and a fire lighting challenge. A great start to term!
