First Year Pupils Upcycling Project

First Year Pupils Upcycling Project

Our First Year pupils have taken on an ambitious Upcycling Project this term and shown how learning can support both creativity and nature. Using shoes donated by CJ from Sal’s Shoes that were unable to be used, pupils reworked them into practical rewilding products.

Their ideas included birdhouses, bug boxes and robotic plant pots! Our EDGE programme is committed to helping our pupils become a force for good and supporting biodiversity is an essential part of that journey.

Alongside the making process pupils developed project management skills from planning through to delivery. These creations will now be placed around the school to support biodiversity and encourage others to think differently about resources. A small reminder that every step counts especially when it helps nature thrive.
