Grow Your Own Veg in Horticultural club
This year has seen the start of a new Horticultural Club and this week pupils were given a session on “potting on” with some courgette seedlings. They each extracted their own plant and will take it home to grow on in their own pots or gardens. They will look after the rest of the plants in the school’s greenhouse. An array of vegetable seeds has been sown and the seedlings are starting to appear. Pupils will be taking responsibility for looking after the plants and harvesting the produce. The school’s environmental group are also taking part in this new venture.
