Inspirational Trip for Sixth Form Artists
The Lower Sixth Art, Photography and Textiles students went on a fantastic, inspiring trip to Barcelona at the beginning of the Easter holidays. In contrast to the grey, rainy UK weather, the sun was shining, and the students got in plenty of outdoor drawing time in this beautiful European destination. In addition to admiring the unique architecture of the city, they visited a range of galleries including Museu Del Disseny, Picasso Museum, Museu d’Art Contemporani and KBr Photo Centre. They also had the opportunity to visit the magnificent La Sagrada Familia, as well as the La Boqueria market and a spot of dancing with the locals in Parc de la Ciutadella. This trip will form a part of their AS and A Level coursework.
