Le Café Français

This week, our Petits Filous gathered for one of their favourite get-togethers — Le Café Français! Our junior French linguists enjoyed a delightful “café experience” in the beautiful Leathem Room, where they ordered their food and drinks en français.

On the menu? Chocolat chaud, jus d’orange, pain au chocolat, croissant, and pain aux raisins. Some of our Petits Filous even tried eating their pastries the authentic French way — by dipping them into their hot chocolate! Reactions were mixed, ranging from comme-ci, comme-ça to délicieux!

Two Second Year Petits Filous had the pleasure of assisting our Fifth Year waitress for the day, Aimee L., and all did a fantastic job greeting customers and taking orders in French.

To round off the experience, the Petits Filous wrote reviews of their visit to Le Café Français. The two best reviews, chosen by Aimee L., earned their authors an extra helping of croissant and hot chocolate!
