Live Lounge Extra – Performers’ Invitation!
Our Live Lounge takes a different format this term as we open up the event to parents, staff and Old Caterhamians- all in aid of St John’s Church and the Caterham School Bursary fund. We invite you (for a minimum donation of £10) to register your interest to perform an acoustic cover or an original song- in an open-mic night style. You may accompany yourself on piano or guitar and perhaps even join with others as a duo or trio, alternatively our music department team can accompany you. If you are covering a song, we are looking for your own interpretation and version.
The ‘parents and guests’ session will take place on Saturday 2 March at 8.00pm (following the junior session at 4.00pm-5.30pm and senior session at 6.00pm-7.30pm) in the beautiful and ambient setting of St John’s Church in Caterham.
We are aware of a huge number of talented singers and performers in the school community and we hope to hear some wonderful performances. To register your interest, please email [email protected] by Friday 9 February and a member of the team will get in touch with you if you are selected. Please give us your details and name of the song/original artist that you wish to perform. If you would like to be accompanied by music staff you will need to provide sheet music (in the correct key) if you would like to be accompanied by music staff. Please note that we will not be able to accommodate all requests. We hope that if you are performing, you will bring friends and family to support you and our charities with kind donations.
