Live Lounge

What better way to see in the half term break than another outstanding Live Lounge hosted in the Deayton Theatre.

The evening kicked off with Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s ‘Die With A Smile’, brilliantly sung and played by our Third/Fourth Year ‘in house’ band. The audience were then treated to some popular and classic hits, including Queen’s ‘Somebody To Love’, Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ and ‘Nine To Five’, Sinatra’s ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ and ‘Gold’ by Spandau Ballet- a wonderfully eclectic mix of tracks beautifully performed by pupils.

It was wonderful to welcome some new faces to the evening’s line up – a huge well done to First Year pupil Isabella M, Second Year pupil Abi E and Fourth Year pupil Siya L who did themselves proud with performances of ‘Great Expectations’, ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Can’t Catch Me Now.’

After some beautiful covers of Olivia Dean, KT Tunstall and Lewis Capaldi, and a wonderful performance of an original track, ‘Flood’ by OC Lana C, sung by her sister Ellie, Florence S (L6) rounded off the evening with a stunning version of ‘The Visitor’ by Sienna Spiro – a fantastic end to another excellent night.

Congratulations to all who performed.
