Lower Sixth Present ARTiculation Artworks
Articulation 2024 got off to a flying start on Tuesday evening with our 6 shortlisted internal competitors from Lower Sixth presenting on an artwork of their choosing.
This is a prestigious competition to win a place in the national final at the National Gallery in the spring is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to practice their oracy and critical thinking skills. The judges were impressed with the wide range of artworks selected from 1950s Sci Fi comic artworks to the photos of Hew Locke and found it hard to settle on the first, second and third placings.
Well done to the overall winner going through to the regional final in February in Folkestone, Leah P, who presented on Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s Sari design with golden corset exploring themes of female empowerment though dress and personal cultural relevance.
