Outstanding Performance at Robomission

Last Saturday 12 Caterham pupils, making up 3 junior and 2 senior teams, attended the regional round of the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO). This is the first time the school has competed in this competition. They were taking part in the Robomission category that challenges pupils to build and program a robot to complete various missions. The teams have complete independence on how they build their robots and which missions they take on, so it means they have to be creative, as well as technically proficient. The teams have been working on their robots for months and the last few weeks have seen a flurry of activity. All the teams performed well, with all junior teams finishing in the top half of the competition and the two senior teams placing second and third.
