Oxted Hockey Club Qualify for Super 6s Finals Day
Lower Sixth pupil Orin D was selected to be part of the Oxted Hockey Club Men’s Indoor squad. The team was recently promoted to the Indoor Premier League division for the first time in the club’s history, despite some tough opposition.
After four days of matches, Oxted won five out of eight games, with Orin having match time in three of them. Their strong performance and excellent results secured qualification in the Super 6’s Finals Day on 1 February at Derby Arena.
Orin said ‘I have enjoyed being part of the squad and proud to have made my debut for the Men’s First team. Hopefully the finals will be a success for Oxted’
Orin started his goalkeeping journey at a match against Lingfield College in Prep School and has previously been in the Surrey County squad, as well as being part of the u14 national cup winners and u16 national plate winners for Oxted Junior sides. He is currently representing Holcombe in the Talent Academy. It is fantastic to see Orin’s progression to the highest club level.
We wish Orin and the team every success in the upcoming Finals Day.
