Scholarship Society’s Day Out in London

Scholarship Society’s Day Out in London

Thursday 22 February proved to be a most memorable day for 20 Third Year Scholarship Society members. They were treated to a feast of Renaissance paintings housed in the National Gallery, a fascinatingly gruesome collection of anatomical specimens at the Hunterian Museum, and some enchantingly bewitching insights into Shakespeare’s world on a walking tour along the Embankment, beginning from The Globe.

There was, thanks to the ceaseless rain, much water-logging of trainers and chattering of teeth. Spirits were not dampened though. Caitlin’s birthday was celebrated in style under the protection of Covent Garden, Dr Scott’s booklets were conscientiously completed, and Mrs Hunter’s lack of any sense of direction was compensated for by Lucy and her phone.

A fantastic day out.
