Second Year Scholars’ Trip to Remember
Last Friday saw the Second Year Scholarship Society pass a super day out in London.
The morning was spent at Tate Britain completing a booklet put together to especially focus the mind on all things Renaissance – this year’s overarching theme.
Science Live! – a series of mini lectures on everything from Space to swimming the channel successfully – took up the afternoon. Highlights were hearing from the BBC’s Sky at Night presenter and recent Caterham School Speech Day Speaker, Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock on her dream to travel to the furthest reaches of Space within her lifetime, and from Dr Robert Winston in an open-ended Q and A session.
Needless to say, the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
