The Upside of Down

Unsurprisingly, there was a strong turnout for The Upside of Down, a thought-provoking webinar hosted by renowned broadcaster and financial journalist Bruce Whitfield and our own Mr Tony Fahey. Taking on the role of interviewer rather than teacher, Tony engaged Bruce in a dynamic conversation that added depth and energy to the event. With his trademark insight and clarity, Bruce guided attendees through the complex themes of green technology, the stock market, and globalisation, demonstrating how even in times of upheaval, there are powerful opportunities for growth. Drawing on real-world examples and lessons from his acclaimed podcast The Art of Deciding, he challenged us to reframe chaos not as a setback, but as a catalyst for opportunity, innovation and resilience.

It was an inspiring session that left the CaterhamConnected community, including pupils, staff, old Caterhamians, and parents, with fresh perspectives on how to navigate and thrive in an ever-changing world.
