Twilight Concert
Once again, the Twilight Concert was a fabulous showcase of the range of musical talent amongst the Caterham School community. Our informal concert series offers pupils of all ages and abilities the opportunity to perform to a friendly audience. The fantastic range of music was just what we have come to expect from our musicians.
Singer Olivia B gave an assured rendition of the aria Vieni, Vieni, O Mio Diletto by Vivaldi, while Ruby M took us to the musicals with her wonderful and confidence performance. Joel G sang the traditional German lullaby Guter mond du gehst so stille, and Evan G presented the haunting Dalmation Cradle Song. Sam Y and Sammy O’D both impressed with stylish renditions of Franck’s Panis Angelicus and Bloodsucker by Cil, respectively.
Alejandro G-B (trumpet) gave a confident performance of the Baroque favourite The Prince of Denmark’s March by Jeremiah Clarke. Dillon P (trombone) gave a sinister rendition of The Imperial March from John Williams’s famous score for Star Wars, while Hongqi Z (cello) entranced us with a beautiful performance of Carl Davis’s Elegy.
Well done to all of our musicians and thank you to their vocal and instrumental teachers for helping them prepare for their performances.
