UKMNT Maths Olympiad & Kangeroo Outstanding Success

In the Kangaroo, a gruelling one hour paper was for those who did very well in the first round, particular congratulations go to Vivian W from Third Year and Mumu Z from Fifth Year for their successful participation in this Sixth Form competition, and achievement of a Bronze and Gold certificate respectively, both taking “Best in Year” certificates.

Also well done to Daniel Q from Lower Sixth for his Gold Best in School, and to Ethan Guo from Upper Sixth for his Gold Best in Year. Altogether, there were 4 Gold certificates, 5 Silver certificates, 4 Bronze certificates, and 6 Qualification certificates.

In the British Maths Olympiad, an extremely intense 3.5 hour paper for those who did extremely well in the first round, the 11 participants were awarded 7 merits and 3 distinctions between them. Particular congratulations go to Rodney (Upper Sixth) for his Distinction and ‘Best in School’, Jack and Rares (Lower Sixth) for their joint ‘Best In Year’, only 1 mark behind Rodney, and to Florence and Jiayi (Lower Sixth) who both achieved a Merit and joint’ Best in Year’.
