IRP Presentation Evening

IRP Presentation Evening

Junior IRP Finals Evening – 7.00pm, Monday 12 May 2025

Over the Easter holiday, pupils in Prep Year Six and First and Second Year Senior School were invited to enter the Junior Independent Research Prize. They were asked to choose a topic under the heading “What if…” and to spend time researching in depth to produce an essay or similar submission. The standard and quantity of entries, thirty in all, have been terrific. Comments were canvassed on each entry and collated by a small judging panel. With great difficulty, six finalists have been chosen to present their projects at the finals evening to be held at 7.00pm on Monday 12 May. The audience will be able to ask questions of the finalists before a winner is announced.

The list of finalists reads as follows:

Ella W                         What if volcanoes didn’t exist?

Benji C                        What if extinct animals could be brought back to life?

Ronav D                      What if assisted death was legal for terminally ill patients?

Silfay M                       What if humans were immortal?

Mia M                           What if all humans were altruistic?

Amritaa D                   What if DEI didn’t exist?

We warmly invite you all to join us in the Wilberforce Hall for this special evening which will showcase the extraordinary academic endeavour of the junior school. Just as those of us who have read the projects, we are sure you will be impressed.  If you would like to attend, please RSVP via this Microsoft Form by 4.00pm on Friday 9 May.
