Battlefields Trip: Exploring the Trenches
On a beautiful Friday morning the Third Year went for a day to visit the Ypres Salient. The pupils explored the trenches and museum at Sanctuary Wood and the Menin Gate – soon to be the focus of the centenary of the Armistice. The day ended with a special wreath laying ceremony at the graves of Old Caterhamians who lost their lives in the conflict.
