Caring for key worker children

Support for Key Workers’ children has continued throughout the Easter holidays with a special multi activity camp solely for the children of key worker parents from Caterham School.

This was extended out to key workers across neighbouring schools of Oakhryst and The Hawthorns School so that their parents could also continue their vital work in the response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The children have been having fun taking part in activities such as badminton, football drills and table tennis as well as some less energetic activities such as arts and crafts and watching family movies. The activities were all designed to keep the children and staff safe with two metre distancing and good regular handwashing and general hygiene measures in place.

The camps will be running again next week Mon-Thurs from and will be open to the wider Primary School community as the Easter holiday break continues. This is a vital part of our community support as it enables doctors, nurses, health workers and other key workers to carry on vital work to keep essential functions going for everyone.
