Logs for Sale
The sustainable management of Old Park Wood is progressing very well. Several areas to the sides of the central ride have been coppiced and the felled wood from this and other areas of the site has been seasoned. This project has been supported by Fourth Year DofE volunteers, guided by Mr Wilkinson.
We are delighted that a quantity of 40cm x 40cm bags of air-dried fire wood are available to purchase on WisePay for £8 per bag. Logs can be picked up on Wednesdays and Fridays from 15.30 in the Sports Centre car park. They can be pre-booked and paid for on WisePay or cash sales can be made on the day.
All proceeds from the sale of Old Park Wood will go directly back into the regeneration, education and conservation work within the school woods.
