Sixth Form Vertical Buddy Scheme
Now in its second year, our Vertical Buddy Scheme continues to represent an invaluable peer-to-peer support scheme to help new pupils in the Sixth Form settle in quickly.
After an initial session on induction day, the pairs, each comprising one new Lower Sixth pupil and one current Upper Sixth, had a catch-up session on Wednesday, to reflect on the beginning of term. The main aim is to ease the transition for our new Lower Sixth Form. It was amazing to see how, after only two and a half weeks since the start of term, the Lower Sixth have gained confidence and forged a strong sense of community.
Our Upper Sixth pupils proved to be supportive, attentive, and welcoming, a genuine representation of Caterham students at their best, fully assuming their role as senior year in school.
