Superb Music Grade Achievements
This term’s music exams for the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) were outstanding with a huge number of merits and distinctions across the year groups, including Caterham Prep School. Covering everything from Oboe to Musical Theatre singing, the range of repertoire performed by the examination cohort was varied and eclectic. Music exams do not only require candidates to perform pieces and songs. A range of skills is fully assessed by the visiting examiner including sight reading, technical exercises and aural ability. The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music was founded in 1889 and is a well-established examination board for musical performance. Standards are high and candidates prepare hard for the tests and demands of the examination. Congratulations must go to all and particular recognition given to those who achieved the highest distinction awards; William B, Rosie B, Cindy C, Bea G, Alice H, Melissa T and Nico W.
