Evening of Opera and Song
The Music department hosted an online Evening of Opera and Song with everything from a sea shanty to beautiful arias; a true celebration of vocal music. The audience was treated to an array of wonderful performances with representation from every year group in the senior school. Highlights included a stunning duet from sisters Isabelle and Abigail P singing ‘Homeward Bound’, the Lower Sixth Chamber Choir singing a stunning rendition of ‘Danny Boy’, and the final performance from Cyrus L and Aldi H singing ‘Bei Mannern’ from Mozart’s Magic Flute which took everyone’s breath away.
The evening was supported by our amazing team of vocal Visiting Music Teachers which includes Mr Jeffrey Lloyd-Roberts who most recently appeared on the BBC’s Cardiff Singer of The World as a special guest commentator. The team cover vocal tuition for classical and musical theatre singing- and spaces are available for next year.
