We talked about Labour day in French Junior club today and about working conditions in general during the 19th Century. Pupils then discovered how Labour Day was celebrated in France nowadays with the offering of some Lily of the Valley to loved ones for good luck (le muguet) and strikes and demonstrations “bien sur”. Everyone made a really nice card to take home!
