Hon. Stuart Lawrence visits Sixth Form
In the Sixth Form we were delighted to see the launch of our Wellbeing program for the year with a Forum delivered by the Hon Stuart Lawrence, bestselling author of several books including ‘Silence is not an Option’ and ‘Find Your Voice and be Your Best Self’. Stuart talked through his life story, as the brother of Stephen Lawrence, and how he is trying, to change the narrative on diversity and inclusion through working with lots of young people.
Stuart has a a particular focus with Sixth Form aged pupils on the use of language in social media and everyday interaction as well as thinking through their responses when pupils leave the school environment. He ended with a challenge to all pupils to start each day thinking their actions really can change the world. The Sixth Form contributed really well, and asked some great questions.
