Biology Olympiad Sixth Form Medal Haul

Biology Olympiad Sixth Form Medal Haul

Just before Easter a group of Upper Sixth Form Biology pupils took part in the Biology Olympiad, a national competition organised by the Royal Society of Biology to find the best Biologists in the country.   It is a tough test, taking pupils out of their comfort zone as questions go well beyond the A level specifications and test not only knowledge but how well-read pupils are.  Eleven of our Biologists won medals which is an extraordinary success. In addition, Max F, President of The Wright Society (a society he founded with Louie S to help future pupils who want to become medics from both Caterham and our partnership schools), achieved not only a Gold Medal, but a place in the next round of the competition – this round will select the Great Britain team to participate in the International Biology Olympiad this coming summer.   We wish Max every success in his bid to become part of the GB Team.

Congratulations to all the medal winners from all the Biology Department!
