Caterham Virtual Advice – Durham University
We were delighted to be approached by Durham University to share our knowledge and best practise as UK leaders in digital and innovation in education. Caterham’s long standing focus on innovation and digital has a much wider picture than the current situation, however has paid dividends in supporting our entire school community through the current national challenges.
The areas in which we were able to assist particularly focussed on how to successfully replicate seminars and ensure meaningful discussion amongst students participating online, how best to use video in online teaching and learning, and how to leverage the best digital platforms and practises.
In addition to sharing our experiences with one of the UK’s top universities, Caterham is also assisting local primary schools to support their transition to online learning.
Caterham School is one of just a few UK schools to achieve the Ed Tech 50 award, has been one of only a handful of Apple Distinguished Schools for the past five years and winner of the Times Educational Supplement ‘Best Use of Digital Technology’ AwardCaterham
